Ok, so I have a camera phone. I barely use it though. The photo quality’s crappy at best. (RE: http://philiphilario.tumblr.com/post/8550738666/i-call-this-photoset-roaming-around-the) Maybe when I get around to buy a DSLR or an iPhone 4S, maybe I will be bitten by incessant shutter bug. However, there are times that I don’t know why, I whip my phone out and snap a photo. Then I just let it sit there on my phone til kingdom come. Since these days are my days of freedom and I had nothing good to do, I found myself rummaging through my accumulated bad photos in my SD card. I decided to transfer it to my iPhoto and realized: Hey, these photos meant something to me…

I was walking on my way to the gym back in Manila when I saw this. I told myself, “What fresh hell is this?” Of course, I am not stupid, I could read through the subtext of the public service announcement… but come on, IT IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. No, sarcasm isn’t exactly in order right? :D Hey, it made me chuckle a bit, and yeah, i won’t forget “Cesar” and “Dayanara,” both of whom broke my brain.

Calling Aaron John Del Rosario (http://beartart.tumblr.com/)! Paging Josef Paolo Reyes (http://josefpreyes.tumblr.com/)! Hm. Maybe I have to stop paging people. Or else, I won’t be able to stop because this photo would remind a lot of people of - what else - The Dorm. Well, this is a photo of the wall where Aaron, my dorm mate of more than half a decade, and I stacked our stuff. Well, in this photo, the stuff is mostly mine. Geez, I didn’t have a photo to show how small our dorm room was. It’s so small you can’t complete two cartwheels in it! But that room, even if small in size was brimming of memories. A lot went down in that room… hanging around with people, eating tons of food, laughing our *sses off, hahaha. Sigh, I sort of miss that.

My iMac came with the infamous “Nipple Mouse.” So when Apple came out with the Magic Mouse, I thought I needed an upgrade, haha. So my friend, Xn, who was TEMPORARILY living in Texas, suggested that he buy the mouse for me over there and send it by human mail courtesy of Yen (http://rejinasofia.tumblr.com/), who was going to the Philippines. The idea was actually very impractical. I was just going to save two hundred fifty pesos, and I had to wait for weeks for the mouse I was craving for. I could have readily bought it over here from my local Power Mac. But you know, I said, yeah let’s do that. You know why? Just receiving something from a friend whom I dearly miss is something you couldn’t put a price tag on.
That’s the culprit. That’s my awful camera phone which I hate-slash-love. But no, I didn’t take a photo of it in the mirror. I took a photo of me wearing Madel’s (http://madsi02.tumblr.com/) Gryffindor sweater. That sweater kept me warm when I needed it. I love it so much. It looked really good on me too, haha. :D There’s a lot more than meet’s the eye in this photo: this is actually a photo of me the night before Mr. and Mrs. Joy Inovero’s wedding, where I was the maid of dishonor to my best bud, Norman, haha. Everyone was sleeping soundly when I snapped this. I just knew I had to take a shot because I knew, that the following day was a day that many people, myself included, would like to remember for the rest of their lives…
This is the most recent of all the pictures I took. This is a photo of my dad’s birthday this year. Unfortunately, it was harvest season during that time, so we didn’t celebrate it with dinner with guests… My older sister, Jaymee, decided to bring a cake, just for dessert. Kidding around, we lighted the candle and sang the Birthday Song to the worst of our abilities. I saw my mum standing up beside my dad, about to blow the candle’s light with him. For that slow couple of seconds, I realized that my parents truly are something. They have and are continually weathering the challenges that life pits against them, together. I feel lucky to have been brought up by such great persons. I just knew that I had to take a photo of that moment for that was the picture of true love… Something everyone of us should strive for and have in our lives.
